“I’ve always loved celebrating Mother Nature…”
Designing From the Heart: Becky Neuman’s Vision for Lithia Springs Resort

“Since I can remember, I love creating spaces. Even when I had a lovely room growing up in my Kansas house, I chose to redecorate a closet that had a very special window, and I lived in that closet with my special design for the summer. I loved being able to look out the window, and I felt like I was camping out.” ~ Becky Neuman
At Lithia Springs Resort, design is about more than appearances — it’s about how a space makes you feel. At the heart of this philosophy is Becky Neuman, owner and creative visionary behind the resort and the Neuman Hotel Group. From the historic Ashland Springs Hotel and LARKS Restaurant to Waterstone Spa, Becky brings a deeply personal, intuitive approach to hospitality and interior design.
For Becky, Lithia Springs has always been a special place. “It’s been a dream come true owning and designing this property,” she says. “I’ve always loved celebrating Mother Nature, and to offer these beautiful mineral springs to our guests is such an honor.” When she and her husband Doug acquired the property in 2012, Becky reimagined the original bungalows with spa-like comfort, blending organic textures, light, and tranquility. That vision continues today with eight new Capri Bungalows added to the resort’s lush four-acre grounds.
The Capri Bungalows: A European-Inspired Escape
Becky’s newest creation, the Capri Bungalows, draws inspiration from the sun-drenched Amalfi Coast and resort’s natural mineral springs.
Soft coastal tones, warm fireplaces, and blue crystal chandeliers reflect the rejuvenating waters and invite guests to slow down, breathe, and reconnect. Each bungalow features plush king beds, private mineral soaking tubs, and beautifully styled interiors designed for unhurried mornings and restorative evenings. These retreats are not just places to stay — they are spaces to reset, restore, and rediscover calm.
“I’ve come to realize in the second half of my life that I am here to create spaces that act as an oasis for people. Spaces that de-stress, and give a sense of calm and retreat. I want to make people’s lives a little better, a little more joyful, a little more relaxed, less hurried, less anxious, less upsetting. And I realized I could do it through aesthetics.” ~Becky Neuman
A Legacy of Thoughtful Hospitality
Becky Neuman’s design philosophy extends beyond Lithia Springs. As owner and Creative Director of Neuman Hotel Group, she has shaped some of Southern Oregon’s most beloved hospitality experiences. The historic Ashland Springs Hotel, whose interiors were designed by Candra Scott & Anderson in collaboration with Becky, was featured in Architectural Digest: The International Magazine of Interior Design. Together, they created a timeless, artfully layered space that blends classic elegance with modern warmth.
From downtown Ashland to the mineral springs just north of town, Becky’s work is united by one belief: great design should feel soulful, welcoming, and deeply connected to place. The Capri Bungalows are the newest expression of that philosophy — a harmonious blend of Oregon’s natural beauty and European elegance, created to help guests slow down, breathe, and feel a truly unique Oregon getaway.
