Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden and Troon Vineyard practice the Biodynamic farming method. Referred to as “regenerative” agriculture, Biodynamic practices seek to enhance the vitality of the soil. Using wholistic principles in which the farm is regarded as a “single organism” and which incorporate the needs of all of the Earth’s residents (air, water, soil, rocks, crops, animals). Biodynamic farming practices capture carbon in the soil and create fully functioning ecosystems that restore both plant and animal biodiversity. The resulting wines, made with minimal inputs, express the terroir of our region and reveal the deep secrets of harmony and complexity of our individual landscapes.
